Publication Policies and criteria

June 2022

Committee for Peace in Afghanistan (CPA) is an independent non-profit organization committed to peace, nonpartisanship, and inclusiveness. CPA’s advocacy efforts, field work, and publications are exclusively aimed at promoting national unity, peace, tolerance, human rights, civic discourse, education, socio-economic advancement, and good governance in Afghanistan.  By pursuing these overarching goals, we are promoting public welfare, peaceful living, economic development, and social harmony in Afghanistan. All our efforts are aimed at 1) identifying the root causes of the war that has gripped Afghanistan and 2) finding ways to ameliorate the colossal human suffering that has claimed millions of victims among the last two generations of Afghanistan.

Geared to promoting these ideals, the CPA’s website is designed to deliver content that is rich, accurate, informative, and that reflects the human/cultural/outlook diversity of the Afghan society. This website introduces Afghanistan not from a single point of view, but from the points of view of all its peoples as one nation. We welcome research articles, analysis, commentaries, and opinions about Afghanistan’s society, politics, state, economy, history, culture, languages, music, and literature. We only publish material that come from trusted and dependable sources, as well as from authors/intellectuals, whose work promote and strengthen the causes of unity, peace, and social harmony in Afghanistan. The website is published in three languages: English, Persian, and Pashtu. The CPA is bound by the principle of civic discourse that steers away from personal/group and cultural conflicts, and by showing the path to a future for Afghanistan that is free of war, injustice, discrimination, misogyny, and fear from-each-other.
